Our team has been drag racing Pontiacs for over 20 years.  When it was time to do something bigger, better and cooler than we had ever done before, it was a natural to build an Arnie "Farmer" Beswick car.  After purchasing the rights from Arnie and picking up his spare body (not an original Pontiac Super Duty station wagon) in 1994, we got started.  Arnie is still our most important advisor and we match race him and the "Tameless Tiger" several times each year.   Watch the Schedule page to see where we'll be going this year.

The Grocery Getter features a traditional Pontiac engine, assisted by nitrous oxide injection.  We retained this engine (as opposed to using a modern Pro Stock engine) to be true to the legacy of Pontiac racing.  It also presents a much bigger challenge to make big power so it is a more interesting project to us.  We are dedicated to continuing to push this engine.  Fortunately, the performance aftermarket has stepped up with a better selection of the good parts needed.  More detail can be found on the Tech page.

Our next venture into the world of power-adder Pontiac engines will take the form of a blown, nitro engine in a re-creation of Arnie Beswick's '71 Trans Am funny car, the "Boss Bird".

A key ingredient to the success of these projects is the involvement of our Primary Sponsor, Team ASE.  Take a look through these pages to find out all the details.

 God Bless America
