Team ASE has been involved with the Grocery Getter since its final phase of construction in 1996.  The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence formed Team ASE Racing to salute the certified technicians who demonstrate high performance every day.  ASE tests and certifies automobile, heavy truck, collision, school bus and transit bus technicians as well as engine machinists, parts specialists and service consultants in North America.  Motorists who look for the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence can feel more confident that the technician wearing this patch  has the professional knowledge to fix their vehicles.  Grocery Getter team members are involved in numerous charitable, public service and educational activities throughout the year including extensive outreach to high schools and vocational schools.  Young technicians in training are exposed to the excitement of racing as well as the importance of continuing their education.  Setting and achieving goals and becoming a certified professional technician are all part of a presentation that helps bring bright young people into the vehicle repair profession.

Crew Chief Mike Garblik is an ASE-Certified Master Technician.  In addition to his racing activities, he is a Professor of Automotive Technology in the Engineering Division at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH.
